I have also found that to be true. If the favored employee isn’t a “yes” person, their job is generally always somewhat in danger.

I don’t believe it is a product of today’s employment, I think this has always been true to some degree.

“Now, I know people out there will say this will get you fired. I don’t believe that”. Maybe thats so where you work, but not so across America. I know plenty of places that if you don’t kiss the boss’s behind, even if you do your job, your out the door. There are no unions, nobody to help you. They can let you go for no reason, and they have. Thats just a fact of todays employment.

.. I didn’t even bother reading the whole of the previous response before I felt compelled to rebut ..(I did finish it,though – hense the comment on “tolerance”)

The “invisible barrier” is invisible because IT DOES NOT EXIST!!

Read the amendment carefully and you’ll see that the U.S. Government is forbidden from the *establishment of religion* .. and that is ALL !!

*Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; … .*

Cynthia has fallen into the “new” American way of thinking – that being that if enough people say it, it must be so – rather than investigating it for one’s self.

Our Founding Fathers prayed as much as they fought, if not more. Our Founding Fathers founded our country on CHRISTIAN religious principles that have gotten us through the past two and a half centuries and have made us the great nation that we are. A magnet for those seeking freedom and a guide for countries that would have it for themselves.

For Obama to announce that THE United States of America is not a Christian nation is to spit on the graves of Washington, Jefferson, Franklin and the myriad of other great men that fought so valiantly – with constant counsel from God – to form this nation.

We that wear the mantle “Conservative” have had enough. Yes, the Supreme Court has said that “separation of church and state” exists in the First Amendment. We’re going to right that wrong, as well. Reagan said it something like this .. “If we forget we’re a nation under God we will be a nation gone under.”

I view our slow (decades old) degradation into LIBERAL “tolerance” as this … “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.”

Let us stand for the country given to us years ago rather than fall into the “ruin of Rome”.

Never thought about it before. I always considered myself a conservative,however, after reading the definition of libertarian, I feel I am in that camp.

OK the guy is a jerk and if you have ever been to the fair its so crowded that sign would be blocking the hole path. Im not saying he shouldnt be able to say what he wants he just needs a smaller sign.

This is great! It is also very well written. Will those unemployed and employed really listen? I hope so. Yes, I want a job, but I will never work 24/7 again. I am tired and I only go through life once. I worked those long hours, and what did it get me. The unemployment line? I have learned and I hope other do too.

The problem with trying to validate anything is that we have the media and the internet.

I can honestly say, I often can’t tell which is the truth. This is why I ask others. Even then, there is so much going around that doesn’t seem truthful.

At least we can share opinions on a site of this nature.
